Meet Micaela Hodder, Head of Real Estate Finance

When and how did you join the company?   

I joined back in 2001 as the company I was with at the time closed. My brother was Payroll Manager here and mentioned part-time roles available to fit around my young family. I started in the Accounts Payable department, then moved into the Accounts Receivable team. Following that, I took the full time National Estates Accountant role and the rest, as they say, is history! The Real Estate Finance Department grew from there. 

What are the responsibilities of your team?  

The team cover all aspects relating to our clients’ monies for both Treasury and transactional aspects. This includes managing client funds, daily bank reconciliations, supplier invoice processing and payments and raising and issuing service charge demands. Also, optimising cash flow with our multiple payment channels for customer payments and the collection of all customer arrears.

What has been your proudest moment working at Innovus?  

The recent standout is the is 12 Real Estate Finance Team members who were recognised by their colleagues across the wider business and shortlisted as nominees for our company employee awards. This is testament to the hard work, commitment, support, and positivity that drives the success of the whole department. I am proud and privileged to manage the Real Estate Finance teams.
